Abstract: In this lecture, we introduce recent advances on blocks of modular representations of reductive Lie algebras, including Brown-Gordon’s work on Humphreys’ conjecture on classification of blocks, Bezrukavnikov-Mirkovic-Rumynin’s work on Lusztig’s conjecture of the numbers of irreducible modules in blocks. If the time permits, the lecture includes Gordon-Premet’s description on representation type of blocks.
